Is a guide to help build a cost effective schedule against Reach and Frequency objectives.
Choose from the spots highlighted in red, and the schedule builds in the most cost effective manner possible. Spots outside of this are less cost effective.
Each programme is represented as a number on the display. The number is equal to the number of spots that have been booked in that programme, if no spots have been booked it will be shown as a 0. If one spot has been booked in that programme then it is shown as a 1.
The peak vs off-peak balance can be controlled by choosing from high-cost/high yield programmes on the right, or low cost/low yield programmes on the left.
Programme Information
To view details of the programme, place the mouse on a number. Programme details are highlighted as shown above.
To highlight a particular programme in the Visual Optimiser, go to the Programme Schedule or Programme List and click on the desired programme.
Back in the Visual Optimiser, the spot will be shown with a circle around it.
Booking spots
Spots can be booked by right mouse clicking on a spot and selecting Quick Book or using the Spot Booking Pane. The right mouse click menu also gives other options similar to the Programme List and Programme Schedule tabs.
Reach and Frequency Graph Options
To access the Reach and Frequency options click theicon.
Single Frequency Target - this level can be changed on the vertical axis e.g. for 2+ objective enter 2 into the Single Frequency Target box.
Reach Corridor - for a reach corridor objective, click on the Reach Corridor (which disables the Single Frequency Target); enter the required reach corridor.
Zoom In or Out - zoom in or out on the spots using the scroll bar or by clicking on the magnify buttons.
