TVmap Update Instructions

TVmap Updates should be seamless to the user.

If an update has occurred while the user is logged in they will be prompted to update their TVmap instance which should be located here:

  %LOCALAPPDATA%\BroadcastMap\TVmapApplication

 

TVmap.Update.Prompt

 

TVmap.Setup.Prompt.Close

 

 

 

 

Multiple User TVmap Client install

C:\Program Files\BroadcastMap\TVmap

 

In some cases, TVmap clients installed on a Citrix/Terminal server will not prompt for an update.

TVmap Support will advise when an update is required.

To update manually, run C:\Program Files\BroadcastMap\TVmap\TVmapSetup.exe using an account with local administrative privileges.

 

 

Manual Update

If the Update TVmap prompt has been clicked but TVmap is not updating to the latest version, the following steps can be used to update the application.

1.Browse to the local TVmap install which can be found under C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\BroadcastMap\TVmapApplication

2.Delete the Current & Previous folders - only delete these two folders & nothing else
NZ.Tech.Supp,Manual.Update.Remove

 

3.Run the TVmapSetup.exe
NZ.Tech.Sup.Manual.Update.Setup
 

4.A Staging folder will appear whilst it pulls the relevant files down from the server
NZ.Tech.Sup.Manual.Update.Stage
 

5.Once this process has finished the Staging folder will be renamed Current & TVmap will open
NZ.Tech.Sup.Manual.Update.Current
 

6.Check the version number is correct
