Schedule Optimiser provides the ability to run Reach Curves for the generated schedules.
Selecting Reach Curves in the settings allows the Schedule Optimiser to book spots randomly, rather than selecting optimal spots.
Note: As the buys are optimised it represents the best possible combination so this may not be achievable at the time of buying due to other constraints. Reach Curves uses a more random approach which provides a buffer to account for the fact that you may not be able to book the perfect schedule due to other constraints at the time of booking.
Once schedules are generated click on the Reach Curves button.
Select the Time Period, Demographic, Ratings Increment and Ratings Maximum then click Create to generate the Reach Curves in Excel.
An Excel workbook will open with three tabs.
Tab1 - summarizes the results in table form.
Tab 2 - is a Reach per Cost worksheet highlighting the cost to achieve reach for the selected schedules and target.
Tab 3 - is a Reach per Rating worksheet showing the Reach build.
To run for multiple demographics, go back to the results page in Schedule Optimiser and click the Reach Curves button again. This will re-open the Reach Curves Option window. From here select the demographic and click Create to generate a new Reach Curves for the secondary demo. Repeat this for every demo you wish to run a Reach Curves for.
Reach Curves Document
Can quickly replicate the Reach Curves template from Excel in Schedule Optimiser by using the Reach Curves template.
Under the Document tab click New Document select the template called Reach Curves.
Enter details as required. The channel share is set by default to 0-100% to replicate the Reach Curves, this can be modified as needed.
The template can be modified to provide additional filtering that isn't available in Excel i.e. can enter a channel split by week to split the TARPs by week & by channel.
Once the template has been filled out use the Reach Curves option from the drop down to run.
Once schedules have been generated click on the Reach Curves button to generate the Reach Curves in Excel.
