This TVmap® Software release includes the following updates:
A number of enhancements have been included in this release based on feedback from TVmap Focus groups. The main emphasis has been on updating the Pre/Post Analysis Module to make this consistent with Buying and to reduce the time spent on commonly used tasks.
Pre/Post Analysis
Pre-Analysis has been re-branded to Pre/Post Analysis as this module can be used for both Pre and Post Analysis runs.
The Homescreen & File menu have been updated to reflect the new name of the module.
The New Session screen now includes the standard Open Existing and Create New views.
These views enable quick searching by typing in a search string in the open existing screen along with multiple session deletes.
Reach and Frequency Options has been added to the new Pre/Post session window.
Changes to main Pre/Post Screen
An R&F accumulator has been added to the top right of the screen with the Summary Totals. This allows you to see R&F results at a glance without the need to do a run.
The current totals display has been updated to match Buying and provides options to quickly toggle between percentage and absolute number display.
An option has been added to quickly see Filtered Spots (totals exclude filtered or hidden spots) or All Spots (totals will include filtered and hidden spots) by changing the drop down option.
The plan box has been made wider to accommodate longer plan numbers.
Source Programme History has been updated to match Buying along with source variance indicators to highlight when ratings overrides may need to be applied.
Spot Details pane has been added to the right of the Spot List.
As you select programmes you can directly override ratings on future spots, see the position in break and Key Number.
Collapsible Panes
The ability to collapse the Task Pane, Spot Details Pane and Source Programme History Pane has been added.
You can hide these screens in the same manner as buying to provide additional space on the main Pre/Post screen.
Multi-Edit Schedule Payment Durations
Durations for multiple schedule payment spots can now be changed by selecting the spots and using the Spot Details pane to modify the duration.
This makes it much faster to assign schedule payment costs to the correct duration.
Note: Schedule Payment durations reset when spots are refreshed from the billing system.
Customise Columns
This functionality is now available in the PrePost Analysis module making it simple to customise the view to your needs in the same manner as the buying module.
Additional columns options have also been added (including 000s, CPMs, Actual Placement, No. of Ads & Placed at #).
Ratings Override Changes
TARPs for pre-air spots now default to the value of the Last if the value is greater than 0. Where Last has not been set TARPs will default to the TVmap forecasted value.
Once spots have gone to air TARPs display the actual rating for the spot 1/4hr.
Aired spots show with a grey background and future spots have a white background.
Colour coding on TVmap and TARPs has been updated to make it easier to see where changes from the Last estimated ratings have happened.
Colour coding will only show if the variance is more than +/-3% (Spots within range remain grey).
The default variance is based on the difference between the TVmap & TARPs column compared to the Last column.
Customised Grouping Totals
Grouping now displays totals per group and these can be exported to Excel to provide a quick and simple way to see customised groupings or provide monthly/weekly totals.
Saving
Saved sessions now only prompt if there are unsaved changes. PrePost will automatically save a session every 5 minutes.
Summary Analysis
This tab has been added from Buying to make it easier to see a breakdown by broadcaster/channel/duration
Spot Matching
Spot Matching interface has been updated. This now appears as a tab next to Spot List.
The definitions window has been updated making it easier to define items for spot matching.
API connection for Pegasus Billing System
If you use Pegasus as your billing system, this update moves to a new Pegasus connection type.
This will make connecting to Pegasus from TVmap simpler and improve security as the same login can be used for Pegasus Workbook and TVmap.
The new connection also supports exporting of decimals in the LAST rating estimate, enabling estimated ratings to be set to a higher precision.
You can see if the new connection is enabled through the PreAnalysis details screen which will show PegAPI as indicated below.
Contact our support team to have this option enabled.
Programme Search
A new column Episode Reach 000s has been added to make it easier to see reach provided by a programme screening or multiple selections.
A total showing the reach of selected screenings (Cume Aud 000s) is provided in the combined share section at the bottom of the screen.
Top Programmes
The option to group by All has been added to make it simpler to return a single averaged result for a range of programmes.
When grouping by All the name will be returned as blank as this may contain the results of many programmes which would overload the field. If you need to see the programme names then simply toggle the setting to programme and this will display the programme listings.
A new column to display Cume000s has been added. If there is no grouping the column header will be Episode Reach 000s.
If a grouping is used the header will be Cume Aud 000s.
Post Analysis
Post Analysis has been merged with Post Analysis - Top Programmes into a single template.
To easily see daily reach performance of a campaign, the option to group by Day has been added to the Subtotals and R&F section.
Buying
Totals Reflect Filtering
Buying totals now adjust based on the filtering applied for weekday/time, duration and availability.
An option has been added to the Summary Totals to quickly see Filtered Spots (totals will exclude filtered or hidden spots) or All Spots (totals will include filtered and hidden spots) by changing the drop down option.
The Apply Filter to Summary option is selected by default to match PrePost Analysis. Buying totals will exclude filtered and hidden spots by default.
Use the drop-down in the buying totals to select All Spots to see unfiltered totals.
Modifying Programmes
The Modify Programmes layout has been updated making it easier to modify cost, rate and programme names.
Applying Surcharges/Discounts to confirmed spots
Confirmed spots can now have a discount/surcharge applied to reflect changes in costs that may be associated with break fixing. This allows you to see this reflected in you buy spend.
Note: Changes in discounts for confirmed spots will not result in an amendment or be passed to the broadcaster. These are purely for planning purposes.
Grid Shortcuts
These have been updated in Buying, Pre/Post and Campaign Manager to quickly get to the top/bottom/right or left of a long list without the need to scroll.
Ctrl + Home = go to the first row
Ctrl + End = go to last row
Home = Go to first Column
End = Go to Last Column
Tools > Options
The Options window under Tools has been updated to make changing settings & selecting favourite demographics easier.
